- Sophomores and Juniors, there will be an SAT Test Prep Workshop for parents and students on this Thursday evening, March 20th, at 7 pm in the Rowland Center. This will be an informative program (with refreshments) designed to help clear up confusion and alleviate anxiety about standardized testing. The selective college admissions process will also be discussed. Bruce Hammond, the evening presenter, will also be conducting the two-day Fiske Guide SAT Prep Class on April 5 and 6 that many students are signing up for in the Guidance Office.

- Students interested in applying to be student leaders next year should pick up an application from their advisor, Ms. Hyatt, or Sue Towslee. Leadership positions include: Freshmen Mentors, Service Learning Team Leaders, Class officers, Policy Advisory leaders, Youth Commission, BBA Ambassadors, and Elementary School mentors. Applications are due to the advisor of each committee by March 25th. This is your chance to make a difference! Get involved!

· Burr and Burton’s Wounded Warrior service learning group will be hosting a “Spring Run-Off 5K Run and Walk” on March 29th at the Manchester Rec Park. Registration is from 8:00-9:30 with a 10:00 a.m. start. Pre-Registration fee is $20.00 (received by March 21st) and $25.00 on race day. At 10:30, we’ll also kick-off a 4 person team relay at the ½ mile track for students. Form a team of 4 and join us for this fun event! ($5.00 per team member). Make Checks payable to Burr and Burton Academy (Wounded Warrior noted on memo line) and mail to: Lani Lovisa, 57 Seminary Ave., Manchester, VT 05254. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
