Burr and Burton Presents A Theatrical Look at Environmental Harmony

Burr and Burton Academy's Performing Arts Department will present "The Lost Civilization," an original composition by composer- in-residence Don Knaack, the Junk Man, March 14 and 15 at 6:30 pm in the Riley Center. Underwritten by the school's Elizabeth C. Wilson Fund, as well as the Association of Vermont Recyclers, the Meet the Composer Fund of the New England Foundation for the Arts, the Vermont Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts, "The Lost Civilization" is set in the future where we are living more harmoniously with the environment.

Well-known musician Don Knaack was commissioned to score the production and work with approximately 200 dance, drama, music and theater tech students to present this multi-layered theatrical experience known as a PRISM production.

Cash donations or canned food for local charities will be accepted as admission to the performances. Two matinée performances will also be given for local schools.
