Attention all students,
Want to show off your literary skills, impress your friends and teachers and possibly win some cash? Start preparing for the BBA Poetry Out Loud contest to be held in the Hunter Seminar Room after school on St. Patrick's Day, Thursday, March 17th.

All you have to do is memorize a poem from this website: www.poetryoutloud.org
(or another poem pre-approved by any English teacher) and recite it in a compelling way on the day of the contest.

$100 goes to the first place winner, $50 to the second place winner, and $25 to the third place winner!
Have some fun, learn a poem, win some money. It's that simple.

Mandatory GSA meeting this Wednesday after school if you want to go on the Burlington trip in April. We need final numbers for the bus and have paperwork to hand out. Please see Meg Cornell or Paige for more information.

A reminder to the band and chorus students that there will be a combined rehearsal this Wednesday night March 16th from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in preparation for the British Invasion Concert.

the opening of art from the schools exhibit at SVAC on Saturday the 19th from 2-4.  The art dept. would love your support and cheers.  The show will be up until April 7th.

The Manchester Special Olympics Basketball Team takes on Bennington for a long awaited rematch tonight, Monday, March 14th at 7pm, @ BBA.!!

All students who wish to take the BBA summer driver education course will meet in the Riley Center next Monday March 14th. after assembly.  See Mr. Houghton if you have any questions.

All students are eligible for the Governor's Institutes of Vermont that are week-long summer sessions organized around the following topics:  Arts, Asian Cultures, Current Events and Issues, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, and Science and Technology. Applications are due in the School & College Counseling Office by March 15th.

New Scholarships are coming in every week. Seniors can look for current lists to be posted in Advisory, the Bullhorn, School and College Counseling Office and Naviance.

 
Vermont Institute on Health and Wellness runs week-long residential summer experiences for high school students and incoming freshmen.  Students interested in wellness, leadership, and careers in the health field learn interactively from doctors, nutritionists, physical therapists, herbalists, and many other wellness practitioners. Applications are in the School and College Counseling Office.
