Daily Announcements

The Winter Ball has been rescheduled for Friday, February 4, 2011 8-11 PM at the Manchester Eagles.  Tickets can be purchased in the cafeteria during lunches or in Mr. Prevost's office.

Burr and Burton is hosting Conversation groups at the Mark Skinner Library twice a month.  Students are welcome to attend.

French: Wed. Jan 26th at 7:00 p.m.
German: Thurs. Jan. 27th at 7:00 p.m.
Spanish:  Friday Jan. 28th at 3 p.m.
If you have any questions, talk to the language department.

MEDQUEST 2011 applications are available in the School and College Counseling office and online. Medquest is a great summer program for students interested in exploring health career opportunities. Students spend 6 days on a college campus, job shadow with health care professionals, participate in workshops and more. Applications are due by MEDQUEST applications are due by March 4.

All students received a copy of their second semester schedule prior to the holiday vacation.  Students who need to make changes should see their counselor by January 20.  No changes will be made on the first day of classes and there will be limited opportunity to switch classes at a later time.

2011 WINTER BALL:The winter ball will be Friday, January 21, 2011 from 8-11 PM at the Manchester Eagles.  Tickets are $8.00 per person or $12.00 per couple for pre-purchased tickets.  If you buy at the door the cost will be $10.00 per person.  Guests must have prior approval from Mr. Prevost before purchasing a ticket.  Tickets will go on sale during all three lunches beginning Monday, January 10, 2011- or purchase them in Mr. Prevost's office anytime.  Music will be provided by "Elite Entertainment".  The attire for the evening will be semi-formal.  Additionally, those students that are not dressed appropriate (per stated school policy) will not be permitted to attend. SEMI-FORMAL – NO JEANS, NO BOOTS AND NO T-SHIRTS.  See Mr. Prevost if you have any questions. Refer to the Student/Parent Handbook (Pages 40-41) for Dance Rules. 


Any junior interested in being a part of the prom committee this year, please contact Cheri Schroeder on the second floor of the Seminary building or by email at cschroeder@burrburton.org with days you are available to meet.

IRELAND, England and Wales ART TRIP 2011-2012 Any students who are interested in art, incredible landscape photography and Celtic culture are welcome to take part in this fantastic opportunity. Who knows, you might even find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow while exploring the Irish countryside!  Please see Mrs. Hubner for information.
