Daily Announcements

BLAMO is hosting a candygram during lunch on Tuesday. You can buy a candy cane ($1) or a bag of candy ($3) and have it sent to a friend. Candy will be delivered during C block on either Wednesday or Thursday.

All students enrolled in Advanced Placement courses who have not paid for their AP exams yet MUST DO SO before leaving for break on Friday!   If you do not pay for your exam, you will not receive AP credit for the course.  
Please see Ms. Rose or Mrs. Welsh in the Guidance office with your payment or questions.

The BBA Gay Straight Alliance is having a bowling nite in Rutland on Wednesday December 16th from 4:30-6:30 stop by the health clinic for more information.

School Closed Wednesday December 9, 2009

Due to inclement weather school will be closed on Wednesday December 9, 2009.

Castleton on the Spot interviews begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 8th. Interviewees please come a few minutes early for your scheduled appointments.

Lyndon On Site Admission is set for Tuesday, December 15th. Applications are due to counselors by Thursday, December 10th. Sign up  and pick up application in the School and College Counseling Office.

College of St. Joseph visit is re-scheduled to December 9th at 9:30. (Representative was ill last week.)

Attention all hockey players! Do you have old hockey gear that needs a purpose in life? Well it would be much appreciated by the hockey-crazed high school students in India. There is a box outside Kathy Bierwirth's office for this hockey drive. Whatever is donated by the end of this semester will be going to Ladakh, India to these students. If you have any questions talk to Emery or Max.

There will be a meeting of the Asian Culture Club on Tuesday right after school in Ms. Diaz's room. Please attend.

GERMAN CLUB:  The next German Club meeting will be on Tuesday, December 8 at 2:45 in Barb Miceli's classroom (Room R221 in the Rowland Center).  We will be organizing our December event at this meeting and also taking the picture for the yearbook!  See Barb if you can't make the meetin

Egyptian Kingdoms trip April 2011, there will be an informational  meeting Thursday December 10th at 5pm. in Dale Spring's classroom in the Smith Ctr on the second floor room 204. See you there!

The Burr and Burton Junior Class will be conducting it's annual Fruit Sale between now and Thursday, December 10th. Order forms for the fruit were distributed to the junior class prior to Thanksgiving break -- so, if you're interested in buying a beautifully crafted medley of fruit like Anjou Pears, pink grapefruit, oranges, clementines or a variety of the fruit, don't hesitate to place an order with a member of the junior class! Twenty percent of the money earned will go towards malaria prevention in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

Castleton on the Spot interviews will be conducted here at BBA on Tuesday, December 8 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Seniors wanting to receive an immediate decision on their application to Castleton can do so right here at Burr and Burton.  Students submit a completed application (with essay) to their counselor by Dec. 3rd and then interview with a Castleton admission officer on the 8th.  The application fee is waived for this program.  Students should sign up with their School and College Counselor ASAP to take advantage of this program.
