The digital photography club will meet tomorrow at 1pm in the library lobby. Please bring your camera because we are going on a photo shoot.

Calling all Stephenie Meyer book fans:  Before you see the newest movie release New Moon - Please join us in the library (Hunter Seminar Room) Thursday, November 19th at 1:00 pm for a screening of Twilight (popcorn provided).  

The Yearbook staff will be selling pre-orders for the 2010 yearbook during lunch.
The books will cost $50.00 until February 1st after that they will go up to $55.00.
You can pay with cash or check or you can charge the book using the BBA web site ( in the parent section/2010 yearbook)

"The French trip has been changed to a trip to Quebec over the weekend of March 5th-March 7th.  The trip is open to all current and former French students, as well as anyone enrolled in French 1 spring semester.  We will be snow tubing, dog-sledding, and snowshoeing as well as sight-seeing!  The first $100 deposit is due by this Friday.  Please meet Mme Emery in the freshman section quickly after assembly for more information about signing up."

SENIORS:
Castleton on the Spot interviews will be conducted here at BBA on Tuesday, December 8th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Seniors wanting to receive an immediate decision on their application to Castleton can do so right here at Burr and Burton.  Students submit a completed application to their counselor by Dec. 3rd and then interview with a Castleton admission officer on the 9th.  The application fee is waived for this program.  Students should sign up with their School and College Counselor ASAP to take advantage of this program.
Lyndon State College is also going to offer early December on-the-spot interviews and immediate decisions (date to be announced later). Interested students should speak to their school counselors.

Attention boys' lacrosse players: if you are interested in playing winter lacrosse at IAS on a BBA team, please attend a brief meeting immediately after school on Tuesday in Mr. Mackey's room.  If you can't attend the meeting please see Mr. Mackey today or tomorrow.

ALL STUDENTS ENROLLED IN FIELD STUDY FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER:  Applications are due to Mr. Napolitano by FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27th.  Application forms are available in Mr. Napolitano's Office or the Guidance Office.

Stratton Mountain School (SMS) is once again holding its annual Ski & Snowboard fundraiser on Friday & Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 27 & 28, 2009. The Friday "early-bird" hours will be 6:00 – 9:00 pm, with an early-bird admission of $5.00 (under 12 free). The Saturday regular hours will be 9:00 – 4:00 pm (Free admission). Many bargains will be available on 2008 equipment, both new and gently used. Over 2500 items will be available, including skis (downhill, telemark & cross-country), snowboards, snowshoes, goggles, jackets, pants, helmets & much more!  If you are looking for equipment for this winter, for a fraction of the price, please plan to stop by.

SMS is located 1.5 miles past the ski area of the Stratton Mountain access road. Just follow the signs to the campus.
