★Picture Retakes are scheduled for Tuesday November 3rd. If you did not have your picture taken during the first picture day or you are unhappy with the pictures you had taken, please come and sign up in the main office for a retake.
★ The Burr and Burton Girl's Varsity Soccer Team will be hosting a "Unique Pizza Cook-Off" on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm in the BBA cafeteria. The cost is $5.00 to taste all or as many pizzas as one wants, and folks may also vote on their favorite pizza, too! All proceeds will benefit Grassroots Soccer (Kick Aids), a corporation that uses the power of soccer in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
★The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program
for high school students is underway. If you are a student who has made a difference in your community over the past year through your volunteerism, you could win $6,000 and a trip to Washington, DC, as well as national recognition for your efforts.

★Thursday October 15th come jam out to some great music played by student bands at the BBA run by National Honor Society. From 5-8 various student bands will be playing outside of the gym lobby. Come sit on the hill, listen to some music, and enjoy apple cider, and baked goods
★The Performing Arts Department will be hosting a Calliope Cafe Friday October 23rd at 6:30 p.m. in the Rowland Center.
All interested performers should sign up for an audition time with Julie Freebern by Wednesday October 14th.
★Hey all you writers and artists! Time has come to start submitting work for the next Between Ranges Literary Journal. ★This announcement concerns the Asian Culture Club. Its goal is to create events that focus on Asian culture and language. If you are interested in helping organize activities or just want to learn more about Asian culture, come join us. There will be an organizational meeting this Friday right after school in Ms. Diaz's room, second floor of the Seminary Building. The Asian Culture Club is not just a club but a service learning group too.
