LIVE GREEN an Energy Expo and Music Festival on September 5th. The Energy Expo runs from 10am to 5pm with workshops, kids' activities, exhibitors and an eco market to shop in. The Music takes the stage from 5pm to 11pm. There are many BBA Alumn's that are participating! Come see Chelsea Edson's Bella Run Jewelry in the Eco Marketplace… Support local (BBA) grown bands including Greyspoke and Goldtown!!  Hope to see you there! And if you need any community service hours contact Andrea Lee, volunteers needed!

All Senior Advisors: I'm looking for Seniors who have a free B or C block to come to my ESL classes and help with conversation skills. I could probably arrange for them to get community service points. Please ask any interested students to contact me at ccostello@burrburton.org, or find me in the English Department Office. Thanks—Chris Costello

Friday, September 4 at 12:00:  University of Colorado at Boulder in the Hunter Seminar Room. (Please let your teachers know ahead of time if you plan to attend!)

Guten tag. Travel to Germany and the Alps during February break.  See Mrs. Spring in the Science office.

If you would like a locker, please see Mrs. Towslee in the main office to sign up for one.  Please do not just "claim" your own locker, as it may already be assigned to someone else.  All locker assignments need to be done through the main office.

There is a New Driver's Ed class that will be starting on Sept. 10 and Ends Oct 23.  It will be held on Tues. and Thurs. evenings from 5 to 7 pm.  Call Bill Herrmann at 375-6863 for more information and to sign up.  There are only a few spots left in this class so don't delay!

Opening Days Events

Senior College Workshops in the Hunter Seminar Room
Seniors planning to apply to college should plan to attend one of the following workshops where we’ll cover the important dates and details of the college application process.
Thursday, August 20, 10:00 am – 11:30 am or
Monday, August 24, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm; or
Monday, August 24, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Orientation for new sophomores, juniors and seniors
All new upperclass students should report to the Hunter Seminar Room in the Smith Center on Tuesday, August 25, at 9 am. They’ll talk with Student Ambassadors and learn tips about adjusting to Burr and Burton. We’ll walk students through their schedules so they’ll be able to easily find classes on the first day. And we’ll have some fun, too. The program will conclude by noon.

Parents of new sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are new to Burr and Burton have a special orientation meeting of their own on Wednesday, August 26, at 7 pm in the Hunter Seminar Room in the Smith Center.

Junior Jump-Start Program
Mandatory Attendance
All juniors must report one day early this year (to the Rowland Center) on Wednesday, August 26, from 7:50 am to 12:00 noon. They’ve reached an important milestone and we’ll mark this special day with activities to kick off the second half of high school!
