August 16th -Mandatory Fall Sports Parent and Athlete Information Night 6:00 in the following locations:

Boys Soccer-Gymnasium

Field Hockey-Dave Miceli's classroom Seminary Building (room # 34)

X-Country- Wellness classroom off from the gym lobby

Girls Soccer-Riley Center

 August 17th - All fall sports begin practice.

All incoming freshmen and transfer students will need a physical exam prior to participating; all returning students must have had a physical exam within the last two years.

Physical forms can be downloaded from the schools web site  www.burrburton.org. These completed forms must be brought to the meeting on August 16th or mailed (attn. Kathi Bierwirth) to the school before August 17th.

 

Returning Burr & Burton students must be in attendance at the first day of practice and all juniors must attend the varsity tryouts.

 

All returning Burr & Burton students must have the required number service learning projects completed before the first practice.

            Sophomores- 2 service learning projects completed.

Juniors- 4 service learning projects completed.

            Seniors- 5 service learning projects completed.

A certified lifeguard is needed for a Hildene camp excursion to Hapgood Pond on either June 24 or 25, weather dependent, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.  The pay is $45.  Please contact Diane Newton, Education Director, at 367-7965 or email dianenewton@hildene.org.

MEMS will be hosting a Locks of Love Day in June.  This will be for anyone interested in donating at least 10 inches of hair to Locks of Love.  Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss.  For more information, see Mr. Nicholson

 

BCBG is offering a 10% discount on Graduation dresses valued at $100 or more.  They are also offering 30% discounts on all summer merchandise.
