The Performing Arts Department is hosting a Calliope Cafe Friday April 3rd at 6:30 in the Rowland Center.  Admission is $3.00 for students and $5.00 for adults.  Performers should see Julie Freebern for the sound check and program order. 

 

A field trip to the Career Development Center in Bennington has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 7th for students who are interested in learning more about the variety of programs that are offered at the CDC.    Students will take a tour, visit specific programs that they are interested in, talk to CDC teachers, and have a chance to ask any questions that they may have at this time. 
Students can pick up a field trip permission form from Mrs. Welsh in the School and College Counseling Office. They must return the permission form by Friday, April 3rd to Mrs. Welsh.  On April 7th, a bus will leave BBA at 8:30 and return to campus by 11:00.

 

A geologists dream!  If you want to tour Germany and the Alps 2010. See Dale Spring in the science office for details.

 

Come see the Panama Canal, and explore the rain forest. Sue Ritchie is offering a trip for Spanish students to Panama during the April, 2010 break.  Up to 21 students may go.  Applications are due before April break. There will be a parent meeting in early May. Please get information from Sue's room. 

 

Juniors! Sign up to in the School & College Counseling Office for individual practice college interviews with college admission officers on the afternoon of April 8. Deadline to sign up is April 1st. Students will be accommodated on a first-come -first-served basis until spots are filled.

Burr and Burton Academy is offering a Driver's Ed. course this summer that begins on June 17th.  This course is free to Burr and Burton students.  For more information, and to sign up for this course, please come by the main office. 

Bruce Hammond SAT prep workshops will be held at BBA on April 25 and 26. Cost is $90. Deadline for sign up is April 8th in the School and College Counseling Office.

Need help editing papers?  Don't know how to write creatively? Come to the English Writing Lab! Chess tournament coming to Vermont! The 2009 Vermont State Scholastic Chess Championships are on Saturday, April 11th at Berlin Elementary School, Berlin, VT. Registration runs from 8:30-9:30am, and the first round (using Swiss pairing) starts at 10:00am.
