BBA Leaders Advocating Mega Outstandingness will have a meeting Wednesday at 2:30 in Mr. Muench's room. Come on down!

 

High School Peer Leadership Training is this Friday starting at 12:30 pm going until Saturday at 2:30 @ 1st Cong. Church at the bottom of Seminary Ave. Please call Maryann at The Collaborative to reserve your spot or if you need registration paperwork. 824-4200. Bring your registration paperwork to the event on Friday unless you've already submitted it.

 

Good luck to the 20 students auditioning this Wednesday for the Green Mountain Music Festival.

 

Beginning November 1st the Yearbook can be ordered online at www.jostensyearbooks.com. The price is $55, major credit cards accepted.

 

 

New Driver's Education Class to begin November 4, 2008 ending December 18, 2008.  Tuesday and Thursday evenings classroom time 5 to 7 pm.  Contact Bill Herrmann at 375-6863. 

 

Results of the Mock Election are in! Barack Obama ousted John McCain 333-67 for the presidency, while Ralph Nader piled in 26 votes. In the race for US House of Representatives, Peter Welch won in a landslide with 220 votes with the next highest being Mike Bethel with 49. Jim Douglas captured 210 votes for governor, while Gaye Symington brought and 94 and Anthony Pollina 59. With the slimmest margin of victory for the BBA Election, Thomas Costello edged out Brian Dubie 203-132 for the position of Lt. Governor. Jeb Spaulding won the race for state treasurer, Deb Markowitz won for secretary of state, Thomas Salmon won the position of auditor of accounts, and Bill Sorrell remained in office as the attorney general. This concludes BBA's Mock Election, thank you to all of those who participated!

There will be a NCTA (Northshire Community Tennis Association) Tennis Tournament Fundraiser at Stratton on November 1-2.  Please sign up in Kathi Bierwirth's office.  There will be a competitive and social level.  Also an exhibition match to follow!
