·         All students traveling to Costa Rica in April...there will be a mandatory student meeting on Monday at 2:30 in Mrs. Fast's room .  The meeting will take 5 minutes when everyone is present.

·         The spring semiformal will be at the Equinox Hotel on Friday March 28th from 8pm to Midnight.  Tickets will be on sale in the cafeteria Tuesday the 25th through Friday the 28th.  If you already have a ticket from the cancelled dance, it will be honored.

Fill out the Anti-tobacco questionnaire in your advisory and be entered to win an Ipod.  The drawing will be at the dance. 

  • The band will present the music of Leonard Bernstein on Tuesday March 25th at 6:30 in the Riley Center.

Admission is free.

  • The chorus will present their Ancients to Modern choral collaboration with the vocal group Counterpoint at 7:00 March 29th in the Riley Center.

Admission is free. 

  • Come see the ONE ACT FESTIVAL performance Friday March 21st in the Riley Center.  Ticket will go on sale today in the cafeteria.

·         Don't forget to submit your independant film entries to Peter Dydo, Faryn Borella, Sam Moore, or Matt Rosenthal for a chance at $100.

  • Sophomores and Juniors, there will be an SAT Test Prep Workshop for parents and students on this Thursday evening, March 20th, at 7 pm in the Rowland Center. This will be an informative program (with refreshments) designed to  help clear up confusion and alleviate anxiety about standardized testing. The selective college admissions process will also be discussed. Bruce Hammond, the evening presenter, will also be conducting the two-day Fiske Guide SAT Prep Class on April 5 and 6 that many students are signing up for in the Guidance Office.
  • Performers interested in the April 3rd Calliope Café should see Stan Beck or Julie Freebern.
  • Students interested in applying to be student leaders next year should pick up an application from their advisor, Ms. Hyatt, or Sue Towslee. Leadership positions include: Freshmen Mentors, Service Learning Team Leaders, Class officers, Policy Advisory leaders, Youth Commission, BBA Ambassadors, and Elementary School mentors. Applications are due to the advisor of each committee by March 25th. This is your chance to make a difference! Get involved!
  • Juniors sign up for an SAT Prep Class. A two-day Fiske Guide Workshop will be held on April 5 and 6 at BBA. For more information or to sign up, see Lynne Welsh or your school counselor in the Guidance Office.

·         Burr and Burton’s Wounded Warrior service learning group will be hosting a “Spring Run-Off 5K Run and Walk” on March 29th at the Manchester Rec Park. Registration is from 8:00-9:30 with a 10:00 a.m. start. Pre-Registration fee is $20.00 (received by March 21st) and $25.00 on race day. At 10:30, we’ll also kick-off a 4 person team relay at the ½ mile track for students. Form a team of 4 and join us for this fun event! ($5.00 per team member). Make Checks payable to Burr and Burton Academy (Wounded Warrior noted on memo line) and mail to: Lani Lovisa, 57 Seminary Ave., Manchester, VT 05254.  All proceeds from this event will benefit the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
