If BBA is closed tomorrow, or if you miss that opportunity you will have to go to your town clerk to get registered by the end of the day.
· The collaborative presents a HS Peer Leadership training on March 14th and 15th at the first congregational church. Join other High School students on an overnight full of food, games, workshops and laughter. Contact the collaborative to request your registration forms. · The Senior Class is hosting a Winter Semi-formal at the Equinox Hotel, Friday, February 29th from 8pm to midnight. Tickets are 8 dollars and will be on sale during lunch in the cafeteria, starting Tuesday this week.Appropriate semi-formal attire is required.If you show proof of attending the One Act Play Festival you will receive a one dollar refund at the door.
· Burr and Burton’s Wounded Warrior service learning group will be hosting a “Spring Run-Off 5K Run and Walk” on March 29th at the Manchester Rec Park. Registration is from 8:00-9:30 with a 10:00 a.m. start. Pre-Registration fee is $20.00 (received by March 21st) and $25.00 on race day. At 10:30, we’ll also kick-off a 4 person team relay at the ∏ mile track for students. Form a team of 4 and join us for this fun event! ($5.00 per team member). All proceeds from this event will benefit the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
The Healthy Alternatives Fair has been postponed until Monday, March 3rd.
This will also mean that the deadline for the mandatory 5 events has be moved from February 20th to March 3rd. This can be used as the final event and a final make-up opportunity for participants. Students who have already made their 5 events are encouraged and welcome to attend. If you are planning on attending please R.s.v.p. as per directions on the Collaborative website.

On Wednesday evening, February 27, at 7 pm in the Rowland Center there will be a presentation about the SAT and ACT. This event is geared for sophomores and juniors and their parents. Come for a lively and informative program that will clear up confusion and alleviate anxiety about standardized testing. Topics covered include: how students can prepare for these tests, how colleges use SAT and ACT scores, the role of the new essays, and more.

The three plays include “To the Chicago Abyss” by Ray Bradbury, a pre-apocalyptic tale about an old man who remembers quantity not quality, and the power that trivial things possess; “The Empty Chair,” a socially aware comment about teens with substance issues dealing with the death of their friend by Tim Kelly; and “The Sure Thing,”a contemporary comedy about two people finding their way through a conversational minefield by David Ives.
Tickets are $6.00 for students, BBA Faculty and Staff and $10.00 for adults. Ticket will be on sale during lunch the week of 2/25/08 - 2/29/08 and also online to http://bba.ticketjunior.com

Deadline to apply for the program is March 14, 2008. Also in the Guidance Office are applications for The Governor’s Institutes of Vermont, another summer opportunity for students interested in the Arts, Asian Cultures, Current Issues, Engineering, Math, Science. Deadline is March 6 to apply for these programs.
New Driver’s Ed class will begin on April 1st. Tuesday and Thursday evenings 5 to 7 pm. Call Bill and Cindy Herrmann at 375-6863 prior to March 5th or after March 25th to sign up for the class.
