  • Seniors-if you haven’t registered to vote yet. There will be a person to do that for you Weds. Feb. 27 in the cafeteria during the Senior advisory. See Mr. Wright if you have questions.
  • Boys basketball practice has been moved to 4:30-6:00
  • German Exchange group  -  everyone participating in the exchange to Stuttgart this summer should come to Barb’s room immediately after school on Thursday (Feb 14th) for a group picture for the yearbook!
  • Come to the World Cultures Club on Valentine’s Day, right after school, to learn how to say I love you in many languages.  You’ll discover how other countries celebrate Love.  We will make cards and enjoy food.  Sue Ritchie’s room on the second floor of the Rowland Center.

·         Burr and Burton Academy¹s Performing Arts Company will present a mini One Act Festival on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 6:30 pm in the Riley Center.

The three plays include “To the Chicago Abyss” by Ray Bradbury, a pre-apocalyptic tale about an old man who remembers quantity not quality, and the power that trivial things possess; “The Empty Chair,” a socially aware comment about teens with substance issues dealing with the death of their friend by Tim Kelly; and “The Sure Thing,”a contemporary comedy about two people finding their way through a conversational minefield by David Ives. 

Tickets are $6.00 for students, BBA Faculty and Staff and $10.00 for adults. Ticket will be on sale during lunch the week of 2/25/08 - 2/29/08 and also online to http://bba.ticketjunior.com

·         To all students interested in auditioning for a part or working as a technician on GREASE.  There will be a mandatory meeting on 2/26/08 from 3:00 – 3:30 in the Riley Center.  At this time we will go over audition procedures and will answer any question that you have.    Please be aware that all audition material can be found online at www.pactd.wikispaces.com

  • Applications and information about MedQuest, a summer program for students interested in exploring a career in a health profession are in the Guidance Office. Deadline to apply for the program is March 14, 2008. Also in the Guidance Office are applications for The Governor’s Institutes of Vermont, another summer opportunity for students interested in the Arts, Asian Cultures, Current Issues, Engineering, Math, Science. Deadline is March 6 to apply for these programs.
  • New Driver’s Ed class will begin on April 1st.  Tuesday and Thursday evenings 5 to  7 pm.  Call Bill and Cindy Herrmann at 375-6863 prior to March 5th or after March 25th to sign up for the class.
