  • Refuse to Use: Make up Event will be Tuesday December 19th form 3-4 in the Hunter Seminar Room.
  • All Field Hockey Players:  Dec. 16th at Indoor Action Sports Development Center will be a field hockey clinic.  If you are interested see Julie, Hannah Leech, or Courtney Leggett.  Spots are filling up fast. 
  • New session of driver's education begins Thursday, January 4, 2007.  Classes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  Call Bill Herrmann at 375-6863 for more information. 
  • Thursday, December 14th is Castleton On The Spot Decision Day!! Representatives from Castleton will be at Burr & Burton to conduct on the spot interviews with interested students.
  • 2006 HOLIDAY BALL: The holiday ball will be Friday, December 22, 2006 from 8-11 PM at the Manchester Eagles.  Tickets are $8.00 per person or $12.00 per couple for pre-purchased tickets.  If you buy at the door the cost will be $10.00 per person.  Guests must have prior approval from Mr. Prevost before purchasing a ticket.  Tickets will go on sale during all three lunches beginning Monday, December 11, 2006 or purchase them in Mr. Prevost’s office anytime.  Music will be provided by “Denning Entertainment”.  The attire for the evening will be semi-formal; those students that are not dressed appropriate (per stated school policy) will not be permitted to attend.  See Mr. Prevost if you have any questions.

  • Peer Tutoring, homework help, or a study partner in Math is available Mon through Thurs after school in Mrs. Niles classroom, rm 304 Smith Center. Please come check it out! Also, if you are interested in being a math tutor, please speak with Mrs. Niles, or just show up after school.

  • Men’s Indoor Lacrosse is cancelled Tuesday December, 19th, as well as Tuesday, January 9th due to basketball practices and the assembly after Winter Break.

There will, however, be one session held, before the winter break, on Thursday December 21st at 6 AM.

  • The BBA Film Society will screen Roman Polanski’s, Academy Award winning, “China Town” starting Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway.  This 1974 film is about a private detective investigating an adultery case and stumbles onto a scheme of murder that has something to do with the water.    Thursday, December 14, 6:30pm in the Hunter Seminar Room.  Free admission

  • Strategy. Intrigue. Knowledge.  Exhibit your skills on Thursday afternoon over a challenging board game.  Upstairs Rowland Center, after school.
  • Kelsey Michl, currently attending James Madison Univ, will be visiting in the Guidance Office this Friday. Students interested in a first-hand look at this school or finding out about what life is like at a large university, come to Ms. Michaud’s office at 11:00 a.m.
  • The Access Service Learning students should meet in between the freshmen and sophomore sections for Monday Assembly .

 

  • Student Council will not meet after school today Thursday to see the Inconvenient Truth but WILL meet for a meeting 7:15 Friday morning. We will have some holiday cheer and hope to see all members there.
  • Dance Team Exhibition – this Saturday, December 16th, at 1:00 in the BBA Gym – come watch all three Burr and Burton Dance teams along with teams from schools around the state.   The admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and children.
  • The social awareness club will meet today (Thursday) after school in Mrs. Niles’ room.
