·         Refuse to Use: Event #4-Movie and Discussion in the Hunter Seminar Room

·         All Field Hockey Players:  Dec. 16th at Indoor Action Sports Development Center will be a field hockey clinic.  If you are interested see Julie, Hannah Leech, or Courtney Leggett.  Spots are filling up fast. 

·         The parents of our Korean students have graciously invited a few of our students to join them for a few weeks in early summer. Students would fly from NYC to Seoul, South Korea and then travel 4 hours south to Daegu and will stay for approximately 3 weeks with one of our current Korean students. During this time students will assist in helping other Korean teenagers to improve their English skills, travel throughout the region visiting historical sites and will experience the Korean culture. The tentative dates for this trip are June 10th to July 2nd.   The Korean Parent Association is helping to fund nearly half of the airfare for the three students to participate this summer.  All meals and ground transportation will be provided. ·         New session of driver's education begins Thursday, January 4, 2007.  Classes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  Call Bill Herrmann at 375-6863 for more information. 

·         Men’s Indoor Lacrosse every Tuesday Morning from 6-7AM.  All skill levels welcome. Helmets and gloves required

·         You are cordially invited to a fun game of table tennis Thursday in the cafeteria, after school.

·         Roxanne, you don’t have to stand out in the cold and sell your wreaths.  You don’t care if it’s wrong or if it’s right.  Learn the GUITAR after school on Tuesday.

·         Bring your favorite board game & play after school on Thursday in Mr. Sheets’s room.

·         College visits:   Tuesday, December 5 – St. Peter’s College at 9:00 and Mitchell at 2:00

·         Thursday, December 14th is Castleton On The Spot Decision Day!! Representatives from Castleton will be at Burr & Burton to conduct on the spot interviews with interested students. To schedule an appointment please sign up on the form outside the Guidance Department by Monday, Dec. 11. You will need to pick up and complete a Castleton State College application

·         The Riley Rink service learning team is sponsoring a broomball tournament on Saturday, December 9th @ 10PM at Riley Rink. Shoes (no skates!) and a helmet are required. Riley Rink will provide helmets if you don’t have one. Please come out and support our community rink! It’s FREE and FUN!

·         2006 HOLIDAY BALL: The holiday ball will be Friday, December 22, 2006 from 8-11 PM at the Manchester Eagles.  Tickets are $8.00 per person or $12.00 per couple for pre-purchased tickets.  If you buy at the door the cost will be $10.00 per person.  Guests must have prior approval from Mr. Prevost before purchasing a ticket.  Tickets will go on sale during all three lunches beginning Monday, December 11, 2006 or purchase them in Mr. Prevost’s office anytime.  Music will be provided by “Denning Entertainment”.  The attire for the evening will be semi-formal; those students that are not dressed appropriate (per stated school policy) will not be permitted to attend.  See Mr. Prevost if you have any questions.

·         Auditions for the one act play, “God” by Woody Allen, will be after school on Thursday December 7th in the Riley Center.

Please pick up audition material in Mr. Nicholson’s classroom.

Anyone interested in working on the crew should also come to the auditions to sign up and get a script.
