Burr and Burton Academy¹s fall musical this year is ³Beauty and the Beast,²
and the show will run from November 8-12. Show times are 6:30 pm on
Wednesday, November 8 and Thursday, November 9, and 7 pm on Friday, November
10, and Saturday, November 11. There will be matinees at 2 pm on Saturday,
November 11 and Sunday, November 12.
Based on the 1991 Disney movie of the same name, the musical is a romantic
tale centered on the meeting of the village beauty, Belle, and the
unfortunate prince who has been turned into a beast after an encounter with
a bitter witch. He needs to learn to love a person, and get them to love
him, before a magic rose loses its petals.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, October 25 and may be reserved by calling the
24-hour box at 362-1775 ext. 144. Tickets are $6 for students and $10 for
