  • Juniors interested in running for Student Council Vice President may do so.  This is a change from last year.  Reminder to all students running for student council positions, petitions are due Friday to Ms. Joyce.
  • If you are interested in signing up for the summer Driver’s Ed. course offered by Burr and Burton, please see Sue Towslee in the main office.  The classes run from June 15th-July 7th  from 8am-10am with driving time to be completed before July 28th.  Classroom attendance is mandatory!
  • Any student interested in attending a VT Fish and Wildlife Conservation Camp should see Mr. Anton for more information and application

  • Any current freshman wishing to run for their sophomore class officer positions, should pick up a petition in the Library.
  • Summer Jobs: The Burr & Burton Youth Employment Program has several summer job opportunities.  Mrs. Buckley will be available during lunch hours on Mondays & Wednesdays, and some Fridays during lunch hours in the foyer of the cafeteria to help you solve your summer employment needs. Please stop by and see her!
  • Any student enrolled in Field Study for next year’s FALL SEMESTER must submit a completed Field Study Application to Mr. Napolitano by Friday, May 19th.  NO APPLICATION MEANS NO FIELD STUDY.  Application forms are available from Mr. Napolitano or through the guidance office.
  • Found:  Vera Bradley Bag- Please come to the main office to claim this bag if you have lost it! 
  • STUDENT COUNCIL members should plan to spend forty-five minutes on Friday afternoon cleaning up the road adopted by Burr and Burton.  The road clean up is in conjunction with Green-Up day.  Please meet at 1:00 in the courtyard and we will work out transportation to and from the site.  See Pierce or Ms. Joyce if you have any questions.  Feel free to bring friends! 
  • The final meeting for the Salmen Committee will be next Tuesday, May 16th at 7:00 am.  This will be an open meeting for those already involved AND those who would like to become involved in our continuing efforts and relationship with Salmen High School.
  • Tickets for ANYTHIING GOES can be obtained by calling the 24-hour box office at extension #144
  • The Senior Leader interview schedule is posted outside the main office and on the door of Ms. McGraw’s classroom.  Please make sure to check this so that you do not miss your interview.
  •  L’Ensemble student musicians will perform at Southern Vermont College, Sunday, May 21, at 5 p.m. in the Everett Mansion’s Burgdorff Gallery in Bennington, Vermont

The formal concert will include performances by three prize winners of the L’Ensemble Student Musician Competition for the 2005-2006 season. First prize was shared between Robert Kelly, an 18-year-old baritone from Danby, Vermont, who is a senior at Mill River Union High School, and Kailey Miller of Lee, Massachusetts, a 12-year-old pianist who is homeschooled.  Rachel Noyes, an 18-year-old soprano from Manchester and a student at Burr and Burton Academy, won second prize.
