  • The World-Premiere of the highly acclaimed sequel to the best ever sled-riding movie, Sled Heads, occurs this Friday, April 7, 2006 at 6:00 PM in the Riley Center.

 

Directed & edited by the Mull brothers, critics exclaim Sled Heads II is this year’s “King Kong” of Sled-Riding movies!  Starring: Tom, Dave & Steve Mull, Will Bateman, Sean Bird, Isaac Sprague.  Also on hand for Friday will be the Mad River Rocket inventor, Whitney Phillips

 

The event is scheduled to precede the Silent Auction this Friday.  Come for the movie, stay for the auction!  Admission is $3.00.  Proceeds to benefit the Katrina Relief Effort.  Door prizes!

 

 

  • CALLING ALL ARTISTS: The Vermont Department of Health is sponsoring a poster contest for Alcohol Awareness Month in April.  The posters should reflect how alcohol is portrayed in movies, music and television and the damaging effects of this portrayal on youth.  Prizes include iPODS and cash.  Completed posters must be turned in by April 13th.  Information about the contest is available through Tracy Hughes, in the Health Clinic and Mrs. Hubner in the Art Department

                 

  • Please remember to see Ms. Valentine with your donation ideas for the silent auction that will be held this April 7th.  Remember:  There are great prizes involved and all proceeds go to our friends in Slidell, Louisiana

 

  • Juniors:  BBA is hosting practice college interviews on April 5 & 6. Sign up in guidance; first-come, first serve

 

  • Juniors:  Register for the May SAT:  on-line at www.collegeboard.com or with a paper form available in Guidance.  Deadline to register without a late fee is April 3.

 

  • A Reminder To All Seniors:  There is a mandatory meeting for all seniors and their parents scheduled for Tuesday, April 4, at 6:30 in the gymnasium.  Important graduation information with a detailed schedule of senior responsibilities and events will be reviewed.   

 

  • German Exchange Meeting – the next meeting for everyone participating in the German Exchange this summer is Thursday, April 6th at 7:15 AM in Barb Miceli’s room.  BE THERE!

 

  • ALL FIELD STUDY STUDENTS:  Mandatory Field Study Meeting with Mr. Napolitano in the Hunter Seminar Room on Friday, April 7th.  Report there the block that you have Field Study.

 

  • A, B, and C BLOCK FIELD STUDY STUDENTS:  Research Reports are due on Monday, April 10th

 

 

  • There will be a new  Drivers Ed. class beginning May 2, 2006.  Tuesday and Thursday evenings 5 to 7 pm.  Call Bill Herrmann at 375-6863 for more information. 

 

  • Dear Parents:  Many students have negative balances on their lunch accounts.  Please contact Cindy Herrmann, Accounts Receivables in the business office to check on your students accounts.  She can be reached at 362-1775 ext 149 or by email at cherrmann@burrburton.orgIt only takes a moment to look up a students account.  Thank you for your assistance in this.

 

  • Climbing club:  rendezvous in Mr. Sheets’ classroom Wednesday after school for a brief meeting.

 

  • J.V. Softball players, Pitchers and Catcher in the gym from 3:00 to 3:30 today.  All players will meet in the P.E. classroom from 3:30-4:00

 

  • Boys Varsity tennis is cancel for today (4/4/06). Meet at 6:00 am in the bubble Wednesday 4/5/06.

 

  • The boys varsity lacrosse practice is from 2:45 - 4:00 at Riley Rink.
